Banyana Banyana midfielder Jermain Seoposenwe has reportedly ended her time with Portuguese outfit SC Braga ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Seoposenwe spent the past two years at Braga, with whom she was crowned 2021/22 Portuguese Women’s League Cup champions after helping her side past SL Benfica in the final.
The 28-year-old, who has returned to the Banyana setup following a prolonged absence, is set to find a new club after the WAFCON finals next month as she seeks to build on her success abroad.
Reports in Portugal earlier this week suggested that the club has released seven players: Diana Gomes, Inês Maia, Machaela George, Mariana Couto, Evy Pereira, Jermaine Seoposenwe, Andreia Norton and Myra Delgadillo.
Seoposenswe tallied eight goals and five assists in the 2021/22 season, and will be hoping to pick up where she left off as the national team looks to overcome Nigeria, Burundi and Botswana in Group C at the continental championships, which kick off on July 2.
