The Sharks Scrumhalf Sanele Nohamba has completed his move to join the Johannesburg based outfit Lions. According to Sunday paper Rapport, after dropping the peck order, Nohamba has been released by the Sharks to sign a three-year deal with Lions.

The 23-year old earned himself a bright future in the game when represented South Africa Schools in 2016 and 2017. In 2019 he made a cut in South Africa Under-20 team at the World Rugby, where he scored 33 points through two tries, seven conversions and three penalties.

In 2021 Nohamba experienced lack of game time at Sharks as Jaden Hendrikse, Grant Williams and Cameron Wright have been selected ahead of him.
He still has to work hard to crack his place into the Lions’ team with the likes Morne van den Berg, Andre Warner and Nico Steyn who play the same position.
