FIFA boss warns 2010 WC critics

FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke says his attack to people who are anti-South African 2010 FIFA World Cup is not directed at Brazilian legend Pele but to everyone who has been negative towards this tournament recently.

Pele recently said the attack in Angola on a bus carrying Togo players and left two of its members dead will have an effect on the World Cup.

On Wednesday, Valcke pleaded with the international and football community to give South Africa and FIFA the chance to organise the first African world cup in 100years without having to answer useless questions.

The Frenchman has also blamed some European countries of being part of this campaign and came down heavily on them.

Valcke says they are also going to approach President Jacob Zuma so that he can meet with the leaders of these countries to put this matter to bed.
